Barbara N. Squires
Senior Associate/Fellowship Coordinator, The Annie E. Casey Foundation

Barbara N. Squires is senior associate and fellowship coordinator at The Annie E. Casey Foundation, coordinating the Children and Family Fellowship, and overseeing the Fellowship Alumni Network. She co-manages a leadership program serving juvenile-justice leaders, and represents the foundation with the America's Promise Alliance. Before coming to the foundation in 2007, she was assistant commissioner for maternal and child health at the Baltimore City Health Department, where she developed both policies and programs in the areas of childhood lead poisoning, substance abuse and maternal and child health. Squires holds a bachelor's degree in international studies from The Johns Hopkins University.
