Kathy Merchant

President/CEO, The Greater Cincinnati Foundation

Kathryn Merchant is president and chief executive officer of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Prior to joining GCF, Merchant directed Pew Charitable Trusts' Neighborhood Preservation Initiative and was a partner in Holt, Wexler & Merchant. She chairs Cincinnati's Strive partnership and the Greater Cincinnati Workforce Network, and serves on the boards of the Center for Effective Philanthropy and the National Center for Arts and Technology. She received Ohio Grantmakers Forum's Ohio Philanthropy Award and NonProfit Times "Top 50 Power and Influence." Merchant holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a master's degree from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work.
